George Mihăiță

George Mihăiță is a celebrated figure in Romanian arts and culture, known as an actor, director, and humanitarian. His instantly recognizable voice has graced over 70 films, establishing him as a major figure in Romanian cinema. His contributions extend far beyond performance, impacting education and youth development in significant ways.

Mihăiță's artistic journey began at the prestigious Institute of Theatrical Art and Cinematography in Bucharest, now known as the National University of Theatrical Art and Cinematography I.L.Caragiale Bucharest. He distinguished himself by graduating with high honors, setting the stage for a prolific career in both film and theatre. This formal training provided the foundation for his success and influence in the Romanian performing arts.

For over four decades, Mihăiță has consistently contributed to the Romanian entertainment landscape, showcasing his talent and versatility as a performer. His extensive body of work reflects a deep commitment to his craft and a passion for engaging with audiences. He has dedicated a long period to acting career and during it, he made important contribution in cinema and theatre.

Beyond his acting career, Mihăiță has also played a vital role in reshaping teenage education in Romania. He spearheaded the Salut magazine and Salut Generation Pro, two influential publications that left an indelible mark on Romanian journalism. His influence extended further when he was named honorary director of Super Magazine.

Mihăiță's dedication to youth extends to his role as the founder of "Teenagers' Day." He is also the President of the UNESCO Club for teenagers. He dedicates a large part of his career to contribute to the teenagers education and to help their social development.

In addition to his philanthropic endeavors, Mihăiță has held significant leadership positions in the theatre world. For the past six years, he served as the director of the Comedy Theater in Bucharest. Furthermore, he founded and directed FESTCO, the Festival of Romanian Comedy in Bucharest, solidifying his commitment to promoting and celebrating Romanian comedic talent.
