"Lost in Translation" tells the story of two Americans, Charlotte and Bob, who find themselves adrift in the vibrant, yet alienating, landscape of Tokyo. Charlotte, a recent college graduate, accompanies her workaholic photographer husband on assignment. Bob, an aging actor past his prime, is in Tokyo to film a lucrative whiskey commercial. He, too, is experiencing a mid-life crisis, feeling disconnected from his wife and children back home.
