They realize the Borg have landed on Earth and are attempting to assimilate the planet to set up the new timeline to their liking.
As the Enterprise crew works to repair their ship and safeguard the first warp flight, Picard confronts his inner demons and the lingering trauma of his assimilation by the Borg. He struggles with his desire for revenge against the Borg and the imperative to maintain his Starfleet values. Data, meanwhile, faces a moral dilemma as he is captured and tempted by the Borg Queen, who seeks to make him fully human in exchange for his loyalty.
