The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

Released on Wed, December 10, 2014

After the dragon Smaug decimates Laketown, the survivors and the Elves of Mirkwood turn their attention towards the riches hoarded inside the Lonely Mountain, Erebor. They believe they are rightfully owed a share of the treasure, prompting Bilbo Baggins and the dwarves to fortify their position and protect what they see as their own. The situation quickly escalates as both the men and elves lay claim to the mountain's wealth, creating a tense standoff.

However, a much greater threat looms on the horizon. Azog the Defiler, commanding a vast army of Orcs, is marching towards Erebor. This assault is driven by the growing power of Sauron, the dark lord, whose influence is spreading across Middle-earth. Azog's aim is to seize the strategic location of Erebor and further Sauron's dominion.

Faced with this imminent danger, the dwarves, elves, and men must confront their differences and forge an alliance. The potential devastation posed by Azog's army necessitates a united front, forcing these previously antagonistic factions to consider the greater good of Middle-earth.

The battle for Erebor erupts into a fierce and chaotic conflict. The combined forces of dwarves, elves, and men clash with the overwhelming Orcish horde in a desperate struggle for survival. The fate of the region hangs in the balance as each side fights with unwavering determination.

Amidst the chaos and carnage, Bilbo Baggins emerges as a pivotal figure. Though not a warrior, his wisdom, courage, and ability to see beyond prejudice and greed position him as a key player in the battle. He understands the importance of unity and the need to put aside personal desires for the sake of the common good.

Ultimately, the hope for the future of Middle-earth rests on Bilbo's shoulders. He must inspire those around him to overcome their differences and fight together to defeat Azog and his Orcish army, thus thwarting Sauron's ambition and securing a future for all the free peoples of the land.
