United Arab Emirates (UAE) Independence Day

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrates its Independence Day, also known as National Day, on December 2nd each year. This date marks the anniversary of the unification of six of the seven emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, and Fujairah – into a single sovereign nation in 1971. Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation the following year, completing the modern-day United Arab Emirates.
